La mejor foto del año para UNICEF

Me encantan estas sociedades de valores patriarcales, en las que las niñas son casadas a la fuerza sin darles educación, sin dejarles crecer ni madurar y son simplemente máquinas de hacer hijos. Menudo asco.

La imagen de Ghulam, una niña afgana de once años sentada junto a su marido de 40, realizada por fotógrafa estadounidense Stephanie Sinclair, fue elegida hoy como mejor fotografía del año por el Fondo de las Naciones Unidas para la Infancia (UNICEF).
La instantánea, en que la niña mira con temor y recelo a su esposo con quien fue obligada a contraer matrimonio, fue distinguida hoy en Berlín, entre otras 1.230 imágenes, por su denuncia de una práctica «mundial» y «terrible», según la esposa del presidente federal alemán, Eva Luise Köhler, colaboradora de la organización. La foto del año de UNICEF forma parte de una serie de retratos e imágenes sobre matrimonios infantiles que Sinclair realizó durante dos años en Afganistán, Etiopía y Nepal, donde es habitual que las familias casen a sus hijos adolescentes entre sí.

¿Adolescentes? ¿A los 11 años se es adolescente? Como dijeron en casa cuando vieron la foto, no me extraña que le mire de esa forma.

No sólo los palestinos usan niños

El video nos muestra a una niña de 8 años, en un acto político de Chávez, disfrazada, (porque no es vestida, es disfrazada), con uniforme militar y boina roja que, al mejor estilo de los «niños de la revolución cubana», da todo un discurso «revolucionario» para finalmente declararse reservista «hasta la victoria siempre»…

A mí me ha dejado acongojada que ya está pidiendo el cierre de los medios de comunicación que no casan con la Revolución bolibanana y que los que no están a favor de la Revolución «le parece que no son venezolanos«. Y ya lo de que «queremos una patria como la de la Biblia, que mana leche y miel«, cuando resulta que hay escasez de leche es para llorar varias veces…

Help to identify this little girl!

Authorities trying to aid two girls seen in a sexually explicit videotape say they have identified one and were showing images of the other Thursday in the hopes that someone would recognize her.

Police want to know the identity of this little girl, who appears to be 4 or 5.

The tape was turned in to police by a man who said he found it in the desert.

It shows a man performing sex acts on a girl around 4 or 5 years old, and shows a girl believed to be 10 to 12 years old appearing in “some kind of peep show,” said Nye County sheriff’s detective David Boruchowitz.

Authorities hope identifying the girls will help them locate the abuser.

Still photos of the younger girl, fully clothed, have been widely broadcast. Boruchowitz announced Thursday that the older girl had been identified.

He said the photos of the younger girl were being released because her life could be in danger.

“She could still be in this situation and (be) abused currently as we speak,” Boruchowitz said.

“The easiest way to explain it is if you can imagine the absolute worst things that can happen to a little girl at the hands of an adult male, that has happened and beyond,” he said of the video. “It is by far the most heinous and horrible thing that you can possibly imagine on there.” Watch authorities describe the disturbing case »

The older girl did not appear to have been sexually abused on the tape and the footage appeared to have been shot from a different room, Boruchowitz said.

Just repost it at your site, right? Someone could know her. This is outrageous.
